Danvers Annual Household Hazardous Waste Dropoff Day In September

This year's hazardous waste day includes several coronavirus-related protocols that will be strictly enforced.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers will hold its annual hazardous waste collection day on Sept. 18 with several coronavirus-related protocols that will be strictly enforced.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Danvers Transfer Station on East Coast Road and is free to town residents. Clean Harbors will assist the collection day as the contractor.

Because of the pandemic, this will be a contactless dropoff where all residents are required to stay in their vehicles at all times. Items will be removed from trunks, truck beds or the back of an SUV or van. Items cannot be placed in a passenger seat or backseat of a car.
