Danvers Extends Town Office Public Restrictions
Town offices will be available via appointment only through at least Jan. 24.

DANVERS, MA — Public access restrictions to Danvers Town Hall and other municipal offices have been extended at least another two weeks because of continued high coronavirus rates in the town and across the region.
The Danvers Department of Public Works and other town offices, which were closed to the public other than through an appointment as of Dec. 22, will remain off limits until at least Jan. 24.
"This rollback to earlier operations employed this summer contributes to the town's effort to minimize community spread and help protect residents and employees," the town said in announcing the initial restrictions last month.

Residents are encouraged to conduct town business online and over the phone. Town offices will only be accessible "in extraordinary circumstances by appointment only, which can only take place during normal work hours."
When a resident requests an appointment a determination will be made whether services take place online, via telephone or email, or whether an in-person appointment is necessary.
