Danvers To Plant 2 Oak Trees At Elementary School For Arbor Day
The Danvers Garden Club and Corliss Brothers Nursery donated the trees that will be planted at Great Oak Elementary School.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers will continue its Arbor Day tree-planting tradition this year with the planting of two oak trees at Great Oak Elementary School on April 28.
The Danvers Garden Club and Corliss Brothers Nursery donated the trees that will be planted during an Arbor Day ceremony at 10 a.m. on April 28.
The town tradition is a combined effort between the Forestry Division, Danvers Garden Club, Corliss Brothers and Great Oak Elementary School.

The tree planted is part of an effort to promote the critical roles that they play in creating a healthier, safer and more beautiful community. Trees help moderate temperature, clean air, filter water, produce oxygen and contribute to a diverse ecosystem.
