Danvers To Plant Trees At Highlands Elementary School For Arbor Day
Two Yoshino Cherry trees will be planted with help from student representatives at the school.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers will host its annual Arbor Day school tree planting ceremony at Highlands Elementary School this year with student representatives helping to plant two Yoshino Cherry trees.
The Department of Public Works Forestry Division event will be on April 26 at 10 a.m. The Danvers Garden Club and Corliss Brothers Nursery donated the trees.
Arbor Day is celebrated across the nation in all 50 states on the last Friday in April. Trees help moderate temperatures, clean our air, filter water, produce oxygen needed for all living things, and are the key to creating diverse ecosystems worldwide.
