Danvers Police Aim To 'Stache Funds For Home Base No Shave Campaign

Officers will be putting down the razors for No Shave November to raise money for Home Base supporting veterans and their families.

DANVERS, MA — Members of the Danvers Police Department will be giving the razors a rest over the next few weeks as they participate in No Shave November to raise money and promote awareness of The Home Base No Shave Campaign.

Officers will show off their facial hair flair to support the critical, life-saving care that Home Base provides to Veterans and their families to heal from invisible wounds, such as post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.

Home Base graduate, Purple Heart recipient and MBTA Transit Police/Boston Police Department Gang Unit Detective Kurt J. Power founded this campaign that raises awareness and funds to heal the invisible wounds of war for Veterans, Service Members and their Families.
