Danvers Puts Pride On Display With Rainbow Sidewalk
The project two years in the making was installed at the intersection of Elm Street and Page Street.

DANVERS, MA — Two years after discussions began on different ways that Danvers could increase support for its LGBTQIA+ community, a rainbow crosswalk was unveiled at the intersection of Elm Street and Page Street during Pride Awareness Month.
The Human Rights & Inclusion Committee partnered with the town on the project that led to the Department of Public Works installing the progress flag with 11 colors on the crosswalk overnight earlier this month.
"The flag is to honor the LGBTQIA+ community in Danvers beyond the month of June," town officials said, "and increase visibility and awareness of the people in the community who identify this way.
