Danvers resident joins American Camp Association, New England

Kerry M. Salvo has been appointed as New Director of Education and Professional Development

The American Camp Association, New England (ACA New England) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Kerry M. Salvo, as the new Director of Education and Professional Development. “We are excited to welcome Kerry to our team,” says Bette Bussel, Executive Director for ACA New England. “She has a solid background in the unique world of camp, has tremendous passion for education and promises to be an important addition to our staff and to our camp community.”

In her new role, Salvo will be responsible for all aspects of ACA New England’s professional development including events, training and the annual conference. In addition, Salvo will provide quality educational offerings and learning delivery options that meet Members’ diverse needs.

Prior to this position Salvo served as the After School Director at Camp Fire North Shore in Salem, MA. She has also worked at City Year Boston; at the YMCA of Southern Maine where she oversaw before and after school programming and in-town summer day camp; and as the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Director for the Portland Public Schools.
