Danvers Residents Among Group Organizing Kentucky Derby Party to Benefit VNA Care Network

Hats Off to VNA Care Network features live music, dancing, hat contest and more while supporting the nonprofit's Cardiac Care Program.

Danvers residents are among those behind Hats Off to VNA Care Network, a Kentucky Derby Party to support the nonprofit’s Cardiac Care Program, on Saturday, May 6, at 7 p.m. at the Salem Country Club, 133 Forest St., Peabody.

For over 100 years, VNA Care Network has brought health care into the homes of North Shore residents. The agency’s staff includes registered nurses; physical, occupational and speech therapists; medical social workers; registered dieticians; and home health aides.

This is the fifth annual fundraiser organized by VNA Care Network’s North Shore Community Cabinet, volunteers dedicated to raising awareness of and support for the agency’s nonprofit mission of caring. The Cabinet includes John Archer, co-chair; Maryann Kowalski; and Mike Morris, all of Danvers. (Pictured:

Funds raised by this year’s party will support VNA Care Network’s Cardiac Care Program. Nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and other clinicians support North Shore residents in learning how to manage their condition and improve their quality of life.

Tickets for the benefit are $50 per person and may be purchased at www.vnacare.org/derby or by calling VNA Care Network at 888-663-3688, ext. 1361. Updates about the event will be posted to www.facebook.com/vnacare.org and www.twitter.com/VNACare.
