It's been twenty-nine years since New Wave Salon opened on High Street in Danvers . Owner Deborah Stashis-Pugia prides herself on the quality of service and offerings she provides, including hair cutting, waxing, massage, coloring, and more. "We've evolved over the years" she said. Giving back is also part of the culture of the salon, whether decorating their winning windows for the Danvers holiday stroll or cutting braids to donate to Locks of Love, a charity that makes human hair wigs for cancer patients. "We have great customers and love being in Danvers" she said. A longtime Danvers Garden Club member, Stashis-Pugia has won numerous design awards. She has used that talent to expand her business. "I'd be working with a customer on hair for a wedding then they'd learn I arrange silk flowers" she said. The salon just added special occasion makeup with Mikayla Davis. "Special occasion makeup is a logical extension of our offering" Stashis-Pugia explained. "We work hard and have a high standard" she said. "We hope to be here for many years to come". Stashis-Pugia may be reached at 978-774-9940.
