Danvers Set For Start Of Statewide Ban On Mattress Disposal
Danvers rolls out a purple mattress recycling sticker program with the statewide ban on landfill disposal starting on Tuesday.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers is rolling out a new mattress and box spring recycling program with the start of the statewide ban on landfill disposal starting on Tuesday.
Mattresses and box springs will no longer be accepted with a Danvers Department of Public Works bulky item sticker. The recycling program will include a special purple mattress sticker that must be purchased and put on the item for collection.
Mattress recycling will occur once a week on Wednesday — not the resident's normal curbside trash collection day.
