Day Trip - Wine Tasting, Harvesting, Grape Stomping and Catered Lunch - September 30

Wine Tasting, Grape Harvesting, Grape Stomping, Catered Lunch and visit to a 2nd winery, September 30th, bus will depart from the Four Points Sheraton in Wakefield.

Did you ever wonder how a working vineyard operates and the process of making great tasting wines

Spend the day taking a bus ride up to Fulchino Vineyards. At first glance, you feel transported into Italy with the building and its gorgeous vineyard right among the road. Grounds are gorgeous with plants and flowers.

We will be spending some time actually picking grapes. We will be given our own tools/buckets and off we go to a row to pick those grapes! After we are done harvesting, you get your chance to taste the grapes "pressed" for juice. "FRESHEST Grape Juice you will ever have in its natural state sweet! After that, and for those who want to you can actually crush grapes the grapes.

Please note: If you come for harvesting, dress properly. You will get dirty, it is a vineyard! Wear comfortable shoes, jeans, t-shirt. If you wear skinny jeans, you most likely won't be crushing grapes, you need to be able to pull up your pant legs for that activity. You may want to bring gloves/hat/sunscreen/bottled water. Bring your smiles too, your going to LOVE it!!

Before lunch there will be a little bit of wine tasting.

Catered buffet lunch (wine included) Harvest Salad , Chicken Parmigiana, Sautéed Chicken Piccata, Roasted Eggplant Pomodoro, Lasagna Rustica, Four Cheese Ravioli, Meatballs With Pomodoro, Tuscan Roasted Vegetables, Rosemary Roasted Potatoes Dessert: fresh baked cookies.

Included is: transportation, wine tasting at 2 wineries, gourmet lunch with wine and share the harvesting experience.
