Free Introduction to Modern Square Dancing

Square dancing is exercise of mind and body for almost any age that can walk briskly, done to all kinds of music. Put a smile on your face.

Riverside Square Dance Club of Danvers has been holding dance classes for new area square dancers for more than 50 years. The music has changed over those many years and some of the calls have changed with the times but, as they say, the beat goes on. February 1st the club is hosting a free introduction to modern square dancing at All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore, 13 Holten St, Danvers starting at 7:00 p.m. That night they will also be offering free homemade soup and chili. Classes then continue Wednesdays for the next 17 weeks, 7:00 to 8:30. at a total cost of $85. That comes out to only $5 per class. As long as you can walk briskly, if you want to start the new year with a fun way to burn calories, make friends, exercise the mind and the body, and laugh a lot, give square dancing a try. For those who already know how to square dance, the club also holds monthly dances. For more information, call 978-774-8159 or visit www.riversidesquares.org/
