Join in the fun, participate in the 9th annual Parade of Trees

Creative Holiday fun while helping to keep history alive

Since 2009, the Danvers Historical Society has ushered in the holiday season with the annual Parade of Trees at Tapley Memorial Hall. More than 1,000 people visit the display each year. Imaginative faux holiday tree and wreath designs are created and donated by area businesses, residents and community groups, each in its own unique theme and style with gifts and decorations. They are on display for five days and raffled off the last day. This year it runs from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2nd, 2017 with set up at Tapley Memorial Hall, 13 Page St., Danvers starting Nov. 20. That date is coming up fast but it is not too late to join in the fun.

Create a faux Tree or Wreath to display and receive 2 tickets to the Preview Party with food donated by Daniella's Cafe & Market, recognition on Danvers Historical Society website both before and after the event and space in the program book. Entries are considered donations to Danvers Historical Society, a 501(c)3 private non-profit. It's a great way to have fun, meet new people, and make a difference in your community! It's also an excellent opportunity to feature your organization or family while nurturing community. Proceeds from the raffle will support the Danvers Historical Society’s education and preservation mission.

For more information or to sign up, contact Laura Cilley, 978.777.1666, dhs@danvershistory.org. To print out a donation form go to http://danvershistory.org/treewreath.html. Why not start the holiday season in a fun way by signing up to donate a tree or wreath before Thanksgiving.
