Meagan Hildebrand joins Andrea Slaven to run Danvers Indoor Sports Field Hockey Programs

DIS Field Hockey

Danvers Indoor Sports is excited to announce the hiring of Meagan Hildebrand as DIS Assistant Field Hockey Club Director. Meagan joins DIS with an impressive field hockey background as a player and coach. Hildebrand was a standout three-sport athlete from Lunenburg High School and was named her teams three-time Defensive MVP and a league all-star for three out of her four seasons. She went on to Saint Michael’s College and was a four-year member of the Purple Knights’ Field Hockey team. Hildebrand (then McCarthy) served as a captain in her senior season. In 2005, Hildebrand was selected to play on the United States College National Team, and she captained the team as it toured Italy to compete.

Following her playing career, Hildebrand became a member of the Masconomet Regional High School Field Hockey team’s coaching staff from 2006-2010, serving as head coach for one season before making the move to the collegiate level. In 2010, Hildebrand joined the Merrimack College Warriors coaching staff where she then marked an illustrious career with the field hockey program. Hildebrand coached eleven players to NCAA All American status during her time with Merrimack.

“I am extremely pleased that Meagan Hildebrand has joined our DIS Field Hockey program. Meagan brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and experience that I know will influence our athletes. I am looking forward to growing the program at DIS with Hildebrand”, says Andrea Slaven, DIS Field Hockey Director.
