Mourning with Pittsburgh: Candlelight Vigil through Danvers

Remembering the victims of the Tree of Life Tragedy -- Tuesday, October 30, 7 p.m. starting at Maple Street Church

Faith Leaders and the faithful are called to gather on Tuesday, 10/30/2018 at 7 p.m. to remember the lives of our sisters and brothers lost in Pittsburgh. We will meet because we are heartbroken and we want to advocate zero tolerance for anti-Semitic speech, behavior and violence.

Meet us in front of Maple Street Church (90 Maple St.) where Rev. Julie Lombard, Pastor of North Shore Unitarian Universalist Congregation will lead us in a prayer and a reading. With our candles lit, we will then move in sacred silence down Maple Street through the heart of Danvers. We will finish at All Saints Episcopal Church to walk a heart-shaped labyrinth as Rev. Marya DeCarlen leads us to the center asking God to spread a shelter of peace over us as we long and strive for a day when the leaves of the tree of life will be for the healing of all the peoples.

The vigil is sponsored by the Danvers Interfaith Partnership.
