Danvers publishes proposed values for Fiscal Year 2019

The Town of Danvers has completed the Fiscal Year 2019 Triennial Revaluation/Reassessment of all real and personal property as required by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40 section 56 to achieve full and fair cash value property assessments. The Town of Danvers has received preliminary certification of the values from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Bureau of Local Assessment for all classes of property for fiscal year 2019.

In accordance with DOR requirements, the valuations are established as of the assessment date of January 1, 2018. Sales were analyzed to determine the valuations as of the assessment date.

The public disclosure period is Oct.23th -Oct. 29th 2018. You may contact the Assessors’ Office at 978-777-0001 during the public disclosure period to ask questions, review, discuss and request changes in the proposed values. The Assessor’s Office is located in the Town Hall at 1 Sylvan St, Danvers, MA 01923. The office hours are as follows: Mon.-Wed. 8:00-5:00, Thurs.8:00-7:30 and Fri. 8:00-1:30. The list of property values will be on the town website (www.danversma.gov/departments/assessing-department/) during the disclosure period
