Description: The WALK route winds through historic Salem, on an unforgettable journey, driven by determination and inspired by hope. For more than two decades, the North Shore Cancer WALK has brought together mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, friends, neighbors, co-workers, businesses, teachers, and students all focused on raising funds for cancer care on the North Shore. The North Shore Cancer WALK is more than just steps that count up to miles. It is a celebration of community, of caring, and of confidence in cures yet to come
About the WALK/RUN: Since its inception in 1991, the North Shore Cancer WALK/RUN has raised more than $22 million and has attracted over 5,000 participants each year. Proceeds from the WALK will support oncology services at North Shore Medical Center and the Massachusetts General/North Shore Cancer Center. In the past, WALK contributions have supported renovations, clinical trials, wellness services such as massage and acupuncture to help alleviate pain and nausea, as well as supportive care programs for patients and their families.
