Topsfield Fair 2023: What To Know As 205th Fair Opens Friday

This year's 10-day Topsfield Fair will include live music, giant pumpkins, livestock, pageants, a beer garden and the Budweiser Clydesdales.

TOPSFIELD, MA — Whether you are into giant pumpkins, hot dog eating contests, craft beer, carnival rides, music for all generations or simply want to catch a glimpse of the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales, the 205th Topsfield Fair has something for you over the next 10 days.

The Fair, which opens Friday and runs through Indigenous Peoples' Day/Columbus Day, will feature headlining music acts Starship, Foghart, Clay Walker, the Coasters, the Drifters and the Platters, a beer garden featuring special brew True North Giant Pumpkin Ale, the traditional giant pumpkin and hot dog eating contests along with the Mrs. Topsfield Fair and Junior King and Queen pageants.

The Budweiser Clydesdales will be there for part of the run as well with a procession to the beer garden each day and special programs inside the arena.

Tickets for the 2023 Topsfield Fair are available here with three-day passes and advanced-purchase ride tickets available as well.

Children under eight are free with an adult admission ticket.

"We are excited that it is Topsfield Fair time again," said Topsfield Fair General Manager James O'Brien. "We have a lot of great entertainment and activities planned and to accommodate as many guests as possible we will be opening the parking lot at North Shore Community College on the weekend once our lots start to fill up.

"It is a great way to get to the Fair. Just park at the college and one of our busses will take you right to the Fair entrance."

The Fair opens at 4 p.m. on Friday and is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Oct. 8 and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Indigenous Peoples' Day/Columbus Day.

Directions from points south:

Take Route 95 North to Exit 70 (formerly Exit 50) /Route 1 – Follow Route 1 North to the Fairgrounds on the right.

Directions from points north:

Take Route 95 South to Exit 76 (formerly Exit 53) / Route 97 – Follow
Route 97 South to Route 1 – Follow Route 1 south to the Fairgrounds on the left.
