5 Things To Do in Dedham This Weekend

Plenty to do this weekend before Thanksgiving - especially giving time.

With a turkey-filled weekend just five days away, there is plenty to do this weekend to get into the spirit of the winter holidays.

  • Dedham Parks and Recreation is looking for volunteers to help build a new playground at Chrchill Park on Saturday until 1 p.m. in two hour shifts. They've put in a lot of work already, but more is needed.
  • Stop by the annual on Saturday at . Vendors selling hand-crafted items will jam the gym, cafeteria and hallways, as per usual. The show goes until 3 p.m.
  • The girls soccer team will take on Loomis Chaffee in the NEPSAC semifinals at 2 p.m. Saturday. The second-seeded Bulldogs will look to advance to the title game, to be played Sunday.
  • Hockey season is upon us, and at Legacy Place will Sunday afternoon with ex-coach Jack Kelley, along with former player Tim Sheehy. The two plan to take pictures and sign autographs with fans, free of charge.
  • Find some early holiday gifts for the much older kids at an Sunday at . Many of the toys were made during World War II and before, so definitely nothing you'll find at a regular toy shop.
