A Bit of Everything this Weekend in Dedham

For this weekend's column, there is only one place you need to know: the Endicott Estate.

It's a packed weekend at the extended Oktoberfest celebration. Beginning on Friday night, live music will pulsate from the tent on the lawn of the Estate. The Dedham School of Music will host the Friday night affair and will put on a myraid of performances that include: The Contentments, the Shiretown Horns and Joe Brogan Jazz Trio.

Tickets are $20 and music begins at 7 p.m.

On Saturday night, it'll be laughter, not notes, emanating from the Endicott lawn as "Comedy Under the Tent" gets underway.  There are two shows (with the same cast of characters). The first show starts at 6 p.m. and the second at 8:30 p.m. Paul Smith, Juston McKinney and Paul D'Angelo will join headliner Patti Ross on stage.

Finally, Sunday's main event needs little introduction - even if someone's new in town - it's Oktoberfest. Full of games, music, dancing - and of course beer - there is something for everyone in the family to do on the lawn of the Endicott Estate.

But just don't get worn out this weekend - Dedham Day is a week from Sunday.
