Dedhamite Graduates from State Police Academy

Michael A. Clement of Dedham and Attleboro recently was recently appointed to the rank of trooper at Massachusetts State Police Academy ceremony held on March 9 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Clement was one of 208 trainees (including over 100 recent members of the armed forces) that were known as the 80th Recruit Training Troop, the first class since 2006 and the largest class in the history of the State Police Academy.

The 21-week training for the recruits began in October 2011 and included 75 different components of classroom training, defensive tactics, and real-world law enforcement scenarios.

Clement, a 2001 graduate of Norwood High School and 2006 graduate of Framingham State University is the son of Dedham native late Wayne M. Clement and Doreen Clement and the grandson of the late Wendell and Eleanore Clement of Dedham.
