James is also survived by siblings, Anne Marie Sheehan of Dedham, Kathleen Sheehan of Dedham and Eileen Sheehan-Bishop of Foxboro and several aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and many nephews.
James was the son of the late Mary (McDonough) of Dedham.

Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Saturday, September 24, 8 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Susanna’s Church, Dedham, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. James was a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters Degree from Framingham State. He was a retired lieutenant for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. Security officer for the Boston Red Sox and R.S.I.G. Security. U.S. Navy Veteran.
