Visions Healthcare Launches New Integrative Psychiatry Department

Visions HealthCare, an integrative healthcare facility located in Wellesley, added an integrative psychiatry department to its growing practice.

The department provides a range of services to assist patients with behavioral and mental concerns including depression, anxiety, weight loss, sleep disturbance, disease management and stress management. The Visions team consists of board-certified psychiatrist, Achina Stein, DO, DFAPA, and a licensed mental health clinician and behavioral health specialist, Marsha Klein, LMHC.

Achina Stein, DO, DFAPA joins Visions with extensive training and experience as a doctor of psychiatry. She practices from a bio-psychosocial approach which includes treating one’s biology with medication; psychology with therapy and mindfulness meditation; and the many facets of social health with education and coping skills.  After a complete medical evaluation, Stein creates an individualized combination of treatments to address all interconnected areas of the person for the best outcome. She received her Doctor of Osteopathy Degree from the School of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ.  She completed her residency there in 1994, finishing as Chief Resident in Psychiatry.

Marsha Klein, LMHC brings over 15 years of experience to her position at Visions.  Accustomed to working closely with physicians for patients’ best interests, Klein embodies Visions’ integrative healthcare approach.  Her goal is to aid in the healing process by connecting with her patients and supporting each of them in developing effective coping skills. Klein received her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Lesley University, Cambridge, Mass.
