Bluegrass SLOW JAM - perfect for beginners

Starting out with mandolin, banjo, fiddle, dobro, acoustic bass, or guitar? Ready for a beginner-friendly room where we learn and play bluegrass songs together?

Then join us for our “Third Tuesdays Bluegrass Slow Jam” hosted by Bluegrass veteran George Chapman. This “Slow Jam” is tailored to entry-level players of all ages and focuses on learning to play traditional bluegrass tunes. 

We take it slow, chord by chord, and provide helpful pointers such as how to tune your instrument, when to take a break, when to back off, what chords to expect, and more basics of jam etiquette and playing together. 

There is no charge; we pass the hat to help defray our rental costs.
