Teen book author Amalie Howard will visit on Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to talk with teens about her fantasy novel Bloodspell, a mythological book for teens about a vampire and a witch that encompasses issues teens faces today.

“The characters in Bloodspell struggle with issues like fitting in while staying true to themselves, falling in love for the first time, bullying, losing people close to them and finding the strength to fight for what they believe in,” Howard said in a statement. “Even a paranormal novel needs some depth.”

On Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m., businesswoman and motivational speaker Chitoka Webb will share her story of growing up on poverty, going blind for six months and still going on to found several companies. She'll also be signing copies of her new memoir Something Inside of Me.
