Dedham Community House Summer Camp: A Summer Kids Look Forward To Dedham Community House Summer Camp sits in the heart of Dedham and has served local families for more than 100 years. We offer a full-day program for children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Each day is active, varied, and fun. Campers stay engaged from start to finish: Daily swim in our outdoor pool Archery Arts and crafts Makerspace projects Science activities Rec room games and indoor play Group games and special events Our staff show up prepared and engaged. They know each camper by name. They create a space where kids feel included, supported, and ready to participate. Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program We offer a free CIT program for students entering 8th and 9th grade. I'm a rock and roller from Boston, Massachusetts. I was given my first guitar when I was 5 and a within a few short months I started taking guitar lessons. With the Beatles music pouring out of our speakers at home, they were certainly my first early inspiration and while that isn't an uncommon story for young kids picking up a guitar for the first time, I was also very intrigued by the creativity found in the construction of the songs from the technical side of things. The process and technique of recording music was as interesting to me as the craft of songwriting and performance.
