Dedham Junior Women's Club Announces Holiday Events

Three events put on by the Dedham Junior Women's Club will raise money for local charities and help guests get in the holiday spirit.

The Dedham Junior Women’s Club has plenty on the agenda for the fast-approaching holiday season.

First up is the 33rd Annual Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Dedham Middle School from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the club and proceeds help local charities and community service organizations as well as support the DJWC Scholarship fund. Admission is $3 per person (children under 12 are free) with lunch served in the cafeteria and an opportunity to win donated items at the Crafters Raffle Table.

Next comes the DJWC Dedham Tree Jubilee, which will be held in conjunction with the Dedham Stroll and Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 5 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in the former space for Wardle’s Pharmacy. Ten decorated Christmas trees and the Jubilee tree, filled with gift certificates, will be raffled off to visitors. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5 for the Christmas trees. The Jubilee Tree raffle tickets are $5. Proceeds from the Dedham Tree Jubilee benefit the Dedham Food Pantry. Nearly $4,000 has been raised in the past two years.
