Dedham Planning Board Passes New Petruzziello Development Plan
The Supreme Development group will replace a run-down property if all goes according to its site plan.
The Planning Board approved site plans for a new development by Giorgio Petruzziello on the corner of Eastbrook Road and Washington Street.
It will transform two run-down, downtrodden homes into a building similar to what Petruzziello developed on Washington Street across from the fire department.
"I'm sure it will be a fine piece of property when [they're] done," said Ralph Steeves, a Planning Board member.

Currently, a white house occupies the property that backs up to Mother Brook.
The developer plans to tear down the existing house as soon as he receives approval for storm water drainage from the Conservation Committee, said Peter Zahka, Petruzziello's attorney.

In other agenda items, the board:
- The board appointed a new town planner, Richard McCarthy, of North Attleboro. However, the town hasn't received paperwork as of Wednesday that McCarthy accepted the job. The board's administrative assistant, Susan Webster, told board members that McCarthy said he would take the job. McCarthy wasn't present at the meeting due to a previous family engagement.
- The board officially signed certificates of action on several Legacy Place-related items that it passed at their previous meeting. Those included the merchandise kiosks and a new employee parking lot. Language was changed in the official agreement to include that Legacy Place would operate the kiosks from April 1 to Oct. 30 each year, and they would be stored during the off-months.
