Dedham Police Donate Turkeys to Food Pantry

The police department donated over one ton of turkey.

The Dedham Police Department is talking turkey.

Police donated 110 turkeys to the Dedham Food Pantry on Sunday. The total weight of the birds neared 2,473 pounds according to the Dedham Police Department.

Officer Rich Cawley—the school and community resource officer for the Dedham Police—said that while he was not sure exactly how long the department has been delivering turkeys, the department has been delivering turkeys to the food pantry for his entire 10-year career.

“It’s nice to get out there and help people who need it,” Cawley told Patch.com.”It was a good time.”
