Dedham Police and Fire Save Ducklings Twice in Three Days
Both times the small ducks fell down a storm drain.

DEDHAM, MA - Members of the Dedham Police and Fire Departments saved ducklings from a storm drain not once, but twice this month.
The first incident took place on May 7 according to the Boston Globe. At 6:32 p.m., public safety officials responded to Legacy Place to save a family of ducklings that fell into a storm drain. 10 ducks were saved and reunited with their mother,
Three days later, it happened again. On May 10 at 10:18 a.m., police received a report that some young ducks fell into a drainpipe near 800 Providence Highway. The ducks were collected and reunited with their mother, according to the Dedham Police Log.

Small ducklings falling to a storm train is not uncommon. If a mother walks over a drain, her ducklings can fall through if they are too small.
