Dedham School Committee Approves Lunch Price Hike
For the first time in four years, the price of lunch has gone up in the Dedham Public Schools.

For the first time in four years, the price of lunch has gone up in the Dedham Public Schools.
The school committee voted last week to raise prices by 25 cents. Free meals will continue to have no price attached and reduced meals will have a proportionality attached to them, according to Superintendent Michael Welch.
Per state law, all districts must match the revenue to that used for the reduced and free lunch programs, Food Service Director Jeanne Johnson told the committee early last month, according to the Dedham Times.

She said the self-funded meal service has a budget of $1.35 million and serves 10 lunches and 700 meals.
