Dedham Softball U14 Claims Hockomock Title
Dedham earned a 4-2 win Thursday against Franklin in the championship game.
The Dedham softball U14 team brought home the Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League Championship Thursday night with a 4-2 victory over Franklin.
Kristina Mitchell put Dedham on the board when she ripped a shot up the middle that was bobbled by the center fielder, allowing Jenn Wadman and Caroline Mitchell to score. Dedham then was able to score two more in the third inning to lead 4-0.
Wadman pitched scoreless softball in the circle until the bottom of the seventh when Franklin gave Dedham a scare, scoring two runs with only one out.
