An eighth grader shared her story with millions of "Chicken Soup" readers.

Being a teenager is no easy job. Even on a good day, life can have its ups
and downs. "Chicken Soup for the Soul" is a series of books written about a
number of various topics. Founded in 1993 by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor
Hansen, over 200 titles have been published in this series worldwide and
translated in to 54 different languages.

In the back of each book, the publishers thank all of their contributors for
sharing their hearts and souls with their readers. A contact page is also provided for those who would like to submit their "stories" for consideration for publication.

It was reading this "Share With Us" section and logging in to the website, that
gave one local girl an idea. Brianna Johnson had spent the better part of the past year, helping out her close friend whose single mother had been stricken with cancer. With everyone's permission and best wishes, Brianna began to write.

A seemingly quiet girl, Brianna herself is full of life. The 14-year-old eighth grader's eyes lit up as she explained the story. Since the
age of 6, Brianna has loved to write. She has filled well over 100 journals with
short stories of everyday life.

It was no wonder when Brianna received an email from the publishers, notifying her that her story had been accepted. Despite the fact that they receive hundreds of stories each year, Brianna Johnson's tale and her writing ability impressed  everyone involved.

The most recent edition of "Chicken Soup for the Soul - Tough Times for Teens"
has just gone out for sale. This is a collection of 101 stories depicting the
hardest parts of being a teenager and includes a fabulous tale from a Dedham
