Field Hockey, Soccer Blank Ursuline
The Dedham field hockey team will hold a breast cancer research fundraiser on Wednesday to open up the new turf field at DHS.
Update: The field hockey game Wednesday between Dedham and Newton North has been moved to 6:45 p.m. to be played at Dedham High School - the first game to be played under the lights on the new turf field.
The field hockey team improved to 6-4-1 with a 4-0 win Monday against .
Junior Kerrianne Downing notched a pair of assists in the win - one on a goal by Amanda Celata and on another by captain Laura Tavalone. Celata also picked up an assist on a goal by Colleen Downing.

Sam Girard, called up from the junior varsity squad last week, also scored for the Marauders.
"[Girard] gives us a lot of energy," coach Erin MacDonald said.

Goalie Jamie Carty finished with four saves on four shots.
Dedham will face Newton North on Wednesday in a game both teams have dedicated to fighting breast cancer. Money raised through T-shirt sales, wristbands and concessions will be donated. Spectators are asked to donate a $5 entrance fee.
"We want to invite the alumni, classmates, neighbors, family and friends to come watch our game and support a great cause," coach Erin MacDonald said.
The game will be at 6:45 p.m. at Dedham High School.
Girls Soccer Back on Winning Track
The Dedham girls soccer team rebounded Monday to beat Ursuline Academy 5-0.
Senior Sarah Warjas scored a pair of first-half goals for the Marauders, and Jenna Savi, Libby Masalsky and Sabrina Ferhani scored in a 2:30 span in the second half to give Dedham its 10th win of the season.
The win follows a 1-0 defeat against Wellesley last week.
Dedham (10-2-2) will host a high-powered Newton North (7-1-1) team on Wednesday at 3:45 at .
