Judge Approves Hearing in Dedham's Injunction Against Pipeline Project
The hearing is set to take place on July 13.

A motion for a hearing has been granted in Dedham’s filing for injunction against the Spectra Energy’s Alqonguin gas pipeline project, according to court documents.
The town of Dedham filed for the injunction last week, asking the U.S. District Court to order the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to use its authority to inhibit construction of the high-pressured, natural gas pipeline.
The hearing is set to take place on July 13, a judge ruled Tuesday.

The project has drawn protests and great concern from Dedham and West Roxbury Residents, as well as folks in New York.
The massive pipeline would be built dangerously across from an electric transmission line located close to a nearby nuclear power plant in New York.

Dedham selectman Mike Butler was arrested last week for protesting the construction when it began.
