Describes upcoming event that raises funds for Dedham residents in need.

In the 2016 Jubilee Year of Mercy, the Holy Father Pope Francis made known his desire that works of mercy be lived out in the daily lives of the faithful. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a worldwide Christian organization, has performing works of mercy at the heart of its mission. The Conference at St. Mary's Parish in Dedham feeds hungry Dedham residents and provides clothing, utility and rent assistance when necessary. To celebrate the conclusion of the Jubilee Year of Marcy, the Society is hosting an evening of wine, Cheese and Chocolate on Friday, December 2nd, in Mary Hall, 420 High Street.
Participants will sample fine wines from Spanish vineyards along with complementary cheeses and chocolates. The wine tasting includes and education aspect - the best wines to serve with different foods, and why the pairs cheeses and chocolates complement the wines - that will be helpful for holiday menu planning.
An evening highlight will be drawing the winners of the Christmas Season Raffle. A final opportunity to purchase chances to win $3,000, $1,500 or $1,000 kicks off the 7:00 PM event.
