O'Donnell Guest Speaker at Stoughton Chamber of Commerce
The meeting took place on Monday, Dec. 1.

Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell appeared as the guest speaker at the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce-Business Before Hours meeting on Monday, Dec. 1.
According to a recent press release, Register O’Donnell gave an overview of the Registry, listing the many ways the agency has become more consumer friendly. In addition, O’Donnell spent time discussing the benefits of the Massachusetts Homestead Act, which provides limited protection on the value of person’s primary home up to $500,000 against unsecured creditors.
Register O’Donnell stated: “As Register, I strive to operate the Registry of Deeds like a business, insuring we are performing within our means and making our customers part of our core mission. At the Registry, we are constantly looking for ways to identify greater efficiencies and to provide greater services to property owners. One way we are doing this is by developing an online service where we will notify a property owner when a transaction has been recorded on their property.”
