Opening Reception The Dedham Guild

Join us on Thursday September 11th from 6pm to 8pm for our Artist of the Month Series, featuring founding Guild member and Motherbrook Arts & Community Center artist, Iris Sonnenschein.

“Music to Quilt by” will feature quilts that were inspired by music, with a recording of each piece, for the viewer to hear the inspiration behind the quilts.

“I find inspiration in nature, music and works of art, and I love combining textures and colors to evoke a general sense of place, as opposed to one particular object. The idea of creating a piece of art that can be touched, and can reflect a mood or a moment, feeds my creative energies; working with clients to create art that speaks uniquely to them, feeds my spirit.”— Iris Sonnenschein
