Police Log: Officer's Car Hit While on Traffic Duty, $800 Grocery Heist at Whole Foods
The officer was uninjured in the crash.

Lt. Francis Bielawski was sitting in his personal car with his hazard lights flashing while working traffic duty at the intersection of Highland Street and Richards Street when someone slammed into the back of his car, he stated in a police report.
The incident happened at 8 a.m. Saturday morning as Bielawski was overseeing traffic while Department of Public Works crews removed snow, he stated.
According to Bielawski, an unidentified driver in a gray Toyota barreled down Highland Street toward him at "a high rate of speed."

The driver was cited for operating to endanger and his car was towed.
Bielawski was uninjured.

4 Suspected in Whole Foods Heist
Four people are under suspicion for allegedly trying to steal $815 worth of groceries from on Saturday afternoon.
Dedham Police officer Ronald Pucci stated that he will seek a complaint against four individuals that pushed two carts around the store for an hour adding items at will.
A loss prevention employee told police that he followed the four people - split into two groups of two - and overheard conversations "consistent with a plan to commit larceny," according to Pucci's report.
The four people were seen on a surveillance camera pushing the carts out the door, Pucci stated.
