Survivor Update: A Health Scare and Ring Toss
Find out how Dedham resident Bret LaBelle did this week on Survivor.

Dedham’s Bret LaBelle wasn’t featured that much on this week’s episode of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X, but overall, it was a good episode for the Boston police officer and most of the Generation X tribe.
The first half of the episode was dominated by a medical scare suffered by Generation X tribe member Paul Wachter. The good news was that he didn’t suffer a heart attack or have a major medical emergency, he was just suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration.
The one challenge of the week was a combined rewards and immunity challenge. Tribe members had to swim to a cargo net, go up the net, jump for a key, and swim to a platform. Once five keys were across to the platform, they were used to open a box with a scuba mask that was used to dive into the water and grab rings. The first time to throw five rings over the targets won a tarp and immunity.

Despite falling behind thanks to David Wright’s weak swimming, Generation X would rally against the Millennials and win the challenge. LaBelle’s role was to open the box and grab the fifth and final ring.
At tribal council, professional gamer Mari Takahashi wasn’t as good as this real life game as she is at video games, becoming the second person to be voted out of Survivor.
