Creating Textiles with Adinkra Symbols Workshop

The following was provided by the Dover Library:

This multicultural program offers hands on learning experience combining textile, culture and art. Workshop participants will learn the historical meaning and pronunciation of traditional Adinkra symbols, each with its own unique meaning and how these symbols are transferred to textile by the Ashanti people of Ghana.

"Creating Textiles with Adinkra Symbols" challenges participants to expand their knowledge on Ghanaian culture all while engaging in a fun, innovative, art focused interactive workshop!
