POSITIVE Host Comedy Night Fundraiser

Enjoy an adult evening with three professional comedians, refreshments and light fare without having to travel into Boston. Tom Hayes, Rob Steen and Mike Kourobis, who you may have seen on Comedy Central or the Late Show with David Letterman, will be coming to Sherborn.

The show is tonight at 8 p.m. at the . Tickets are $40 and will be sold in advance.

Comedy Night is a fundraiser for POSITIVE which is the parent/teacher support group at the Dover-Sherborn Middle School. POSITIVE awards grants and funds for many of the enrichment programs for the students. POSITIVE also gives assignment books to each child, creates the school directory, chaperones dances, and provides food for student dances and teacher luncheons.

Grants for 2011-2012 include the Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Assembly and Workshops, Massai Warrior Performance, Arab Music, Dance, and Culture Performance, Samsung Document Cameras, Earth Month Presentations (Live Reptiles, Birds of Prey, Alternative Fuels, Project Green Schools Workshop), Readers Convention, Ecuadorian Folk Dance Seminar, Parent Educational Forums, Multimedia Learning, and Deanna’s Educational Theater performances.

POSITIVE is qualified as a 501(c)3 charitable organization and accepts donations to fund all of the grants and enrichment efforts. The upcoming Comedy Night is a fundraiser for POSITIVE.

All parents of Middle School students are members of POSITIVE. Please consider being an active member by joining the monthly meetings.
