Leave or Stay? Dover Voters Decide on Minuteman School

Dover is among several towns indicating they'd like to leave the Minuteman Vocational High School district.

DOVER, MA -- Dover is among the several towns who are leaning toward opting out of the Minuteman Vocational High School district. To do so, the town joined the 15 others in the district to adopt and accept a new regional agreement which would give those towns the option of leaving.

The Dover Board of Selectmen called a Special Town Meeting for residents to vote on the regional agreement on Monday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. at Dover-Sherborn Regional High School Mudge Auditorium.

According to the new agreement, towns wishing to exit the district can do so by June 30, 2017, and after, would need approval from a majority of the members, reports the MetroWest Daily News.
