Mark Your Hydrants 'Shoveled' With This App

There are over 1,400 hydrants in Easton and their locations can all be found on the fire hydrant GIS app.

Residents can make their neighborhood hydrants as “shoveled” on the app.

The Town encouraged residents to report their shoveled hydrants on the app.

This information will help the Fire Department become better prepared for emergency situations.

A 3-alarm fire in Easton last week, which destroyed two auto repair shops, was able to be extinguished easily due to the nearby hydrants being shoveled out.

The Massachusetts National Guard came to Easton last week to help shovel out hydrants on the Town’s major roadways.

Student athletes and members of the Oliver Ames High School athletic department took the time to help Easton Fire Department shovel out snow-covered hydrants on Saturday, Jan. 31.
