• 'It's not sustainable': A look at school staffing after FY27 budget cuts (recorder.com) — Erving families are seeing the impact of tight FY27 school budgets, with a retired position at Erving Elementary left unfilled as Union 28 trims staff to handle rising health insurance and operating costs. Across Franklin County, more than 40 school jobs have disappeared or gone unfilled, forcing districts to combine classes, cut hours, and lean on remaining staff to preserve programs where possible.
