A great white shark named "Mr. Spot Claw" was spotted in the waters off Nauset Beach over the weekend, according to the Sharktivity app. It was one of just 11 confirmed shark sightings on the Cape this weekend.

The shark was detected by the Nauset Beach receiver on Saturday at 10:15 a.m., the app said. Beachgoers were notified and a heightened swimming advisory remains in place, but the beach was never closed.
