This beautiful, long-haired gray tuxedo cat is Maddie Munchkin. Maddie is 3 years old and came to us when her family could no longer take care of her. At first glance you would not guess that Maddie is deaf. She gets along with people and some cats and her condition only shows itself if something surprises her from behind. Deaf cats can be taught a few hand signals for training purposes. Maddie would do well as an only cat in any home without very young children. She requires no extra care other than making sure she is aware if someone approaches her. Maddie will make an affectionate, happy companion for the right family.
Our shelter is the little red shed at 15 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. Adoption hours are Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by appointment.
Low-income cat owners may apply for financial help for vet expenses, including for spays and neuters, by calling our hotline for details.
