The Falmouth Art Market opens for the summer on Tuesday, July 2, at Town Hall Square on Main Street. The Art Market features an array of works by artists and artisans, as well as musical entertainment—this week Bill Black will sing and play Irish music and Notescape will sing popular songs of the recent past.
The event takes place every Tuesday from 2 PM until sunset throughout the summer.
The market, now in its seventh season, provides an opportunity to meet local artists, shop for fine art and crafts, and just relax, listen to music by local performers, and enjoy the summer. There are visual artists, potters, fiber artists, illustrators, photographers, print makers, glass blowers, jewelers, authors and poets, and more.

Two musical groups perform each week, the first from 3 to 5 PM, and the second from 5 to 7 PM.
On Tuesday, July 2, Bill Black will perform from 3 to 5 PM, and Notescape takes the stage from 5 to 7 PM. Falmouth resident Bill Black plays traditional Irish music on bouzouki and guitar and sings songs of Ireland and songs of the sea. He is an enthusiastic supporter of Irish music on the Cape, playing in several groups, including Cape Cod Tradition, and often accompanying other musicians playing Irish music.
Notescape is a men’s close-harmony group singing ballads, doo-wop, and popular tunes from the American songbook. The group is led by Tom Goux of Monument Beach and includes Joe Hackler, Doug Mann, Peter Clark, and Peter Hopewood, all upper Cape residents who have performed in concert and cabaret settings throughout the region.
