Boomer Shabbat at Falmouth Jewish Congregation, Friday, July 21 at 7:30pm

All are invited to experience this all-music service, in which the traditional Jewish liturgy is replaced by songs from the Boomer era

Following an annual, summer tradition, Falmouth Jewish Congregation will hold a “Boomer Shabbat,” on Friday, July 21 at 7:30pm, devoting a Friday evening Sabbath service to this unique worship experience. Come worship in song to tunes you know and love. We have thematically matched Boomer songs to and substituted them for the Shabbat liturgy, creating a service that elicits fresh appreciation of both. This year’s music includes songs by the Beatles, the Youngbloods, James Taylor, and the Eagles, among others. The Boomer Band consists of Rabbi Lieberman (guitar and vocals), Pamela Rothstein (guitar and vocals), Ken Freedman (keyboard), and special guest Bart Weisman on drums.

Come in Boomer-era clothes if you like!

This service will take place at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation’s East End Meeting House on Sandwich Road. Parking (except for limited handicap spaces) is available across the street at the FJC Blanche and Joel D. Seifer Community Center at 7 Hatchville Road. Park there and walk along the marked path to the Meeting House. A reception will be held after the service back in the Community Center. All are welcome!
