Bourne Water District Lifts Boil Water Advisory

The advisory was first issued due to water samples returning positive for E. coli and coliform.

BOURNE, MA — The boil water advisory for the Bourne Water District has been lifted as of Tuesday this week, officials said.

Bourne Water District is the largest of the three water districts within the boundaries of the Town of Bourne, covering an area from the Sandwich town line to the Falmouth town line on the Cape side of the Canal.

On Tuesday, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection authorized the Bourne Water District to lift the boil due to three complete rounds of distribution samples, which involved three straight days of clean samples.
